Back again

Well unfortunately the new look wasn't enough of an incentive to get me posting more regularly. But that's OK! Here is an update...

Xmas was great, Zack was very excited. We left a note for Santa and prepared his Santa Sack on his bed. Unfortunately he lost it in his bed and thought Santa had taken it rather than leaving it full of presents. We located it in amongst his blankets and he was over the moon. The day was great, Zack loved all his presents and took the time to thank people for the gifts he was given. It was difficult explaining when the presents had all been opened that there weren't anymore presents....in fact he still sometimes asks when Santa is coming again. Its going to be a long year of waiting I think.

The holidays were good, although we stayed in Auckland and mostly at home. I enjoyed the time we spent together. Zack is almost back into a routine with me being back at work, although just this weekend gone we went away on holiday with the Christini clan which has disrupted things a little but was certainly worth it.

Zack is in the process of learning to use the toilet and doing a great job. I am extremely impressed at how quick he is getting the hang of things. We have a sticker chart going which has been re-vamped a couple times already just due to the quickness of things (keep running out of room for stickers).

Obviously Zack's vocab has come along a lot in the last month, he is speaking much more clearly although Uncle Fork still has some trouble understanding exactly what Zack is asking him. They both get pretty frustrated but tend to work things out in the end.

I am busy hunting down new books for Zack all the time now. Zack gets a real kick out of reading books about real boy things, spiders, diggers, robots, pirates things like that. It can be real fun for me particularly when I find a book which will interest him, although it seems that like most things that there is a much bigger range for girls :(
