Massive lapse in time

Zack will turning 10 in a few weeks and for some reason it feels like a huge milestone for me, actually us.  He has matured so much just in the last few months, becoming more interested in school and taking some responsibilities such as Road Patrol Duty.  He also received a certificate at school for his awesome bone carving which the Principal raved to me about personally.

We have been discussing him changing to Rosehill Intermediate next year, to prepare him for College.  I know the switch will be daunting for him coming from such a small school, but better to do it now than his first year at Rosehill College.  He copes very well with change and while he was originally a little hesitant about it, he is now very excited.

Whoops just noticed the time, I had better get him off to school this morning HA HA.

So Zack celebrated his 7th birthday a few weeks ago. Here is an updated 50 things

1. Zack calls me Mum

2. Zacks best mate is Kody

3. Zack still prefers fruit to any kind of lollie

4. His favourite food is Sushi

5. He attends Brookby Primary School

6. He doesn't like "pip bread"

7. He is allergic to pineapple, mango and seafood (gives him excema)

8. He loves Star Wars

9. He loves Lego

10. He is totally uninterested in riding a bike without Training Wheels

11. He is pretty good at doing an indian accent

12. He still loves weapons and has a large collection

13. He loves animals especially our cat Mink and Bretts Dog Lady

14. He loves Mameres cookingt

15. He likes drum and bass, sings most of the words to Shapeshifter album

16. He isn't really interested in sports all that much

17. He is looking forward to going to the movies over the school holidays

18. He recently went on a class trip to Rangitoto where he brought back a piece of rock for pretty much everyone he knew.

19. He hates having baths/showers, but once you get him in there just try and get him out.

20. He loves surfing youtube looking up lego stuff

21. His favourite treat from the diary is anything with LOADS of sugar in it

22. He rarely eats all his lunch at school

23. He cries when he doesnt get his own way sometimes

24. He has a HUGE collection of movies and DVDs

25. He still picks his nose and eats it

26. He gives the BEST cuddles

27. He is a deep sleeper and loves to sleep in

28. He recently stayed over night with Grampa Curchin in Tairua and raved about it to everyone he knew for weeks

29. His favourite colour is still blue

30. He raised a chicken for Brookby Ag day

31. He still hasn't been to rainbows end but is looking forward to it for his 8th birthday

32. He wants to take Karate lessons

33. He does great artwork

34. He likes giving gifts

36. He recently learnt how to tie his shoes

37. He loves Malcolm in the Middle

38. He likes taking photos and is pretty good at it too

39. He is pretty good going to bed most night

40. The most nights he has stayed away from Mum is 5

41. He has been fishing a couple times but has only caught little fish

42. He still collects Bakugan

43. His room is ALWAYS a mess

44. He really enjoys making people laugh especially me...usually when I am trying to tell him off

45. He has great manners

46. He doesn't listen and has poor concentration

47. He still tries to wear my high heels

48. He can't save...money burns a hole in his pocket

50. He is a bad liar, but still manages to catch us out sometimes with stories
