Meh...Tuesday!

We have Erica (my cousin) coming to spend the week with us this week, while her parents are working. Yesterday we went to the local heated pools. Zack first swim in a pool. At first he was a little nervous and hung on tightly to me, but he relaxed quickly and had fun splashing and watching all the kids. It went surprisingly well, I was so proud of him. We were there for an hour and a half and all three of us were stuffed by the end of it. Zack came home and crashed while Erica and I watched a movie.

Today we went for a drive out to Maraetai and then spent the rest of the day at home playing. Erica had brought over some bubble solution and a magical Ghost bubble blower, it was very cool. It blows bubbles full of smoke and when they pop it looks like a Ghost.

Tonight, Zack came out of his room from playing saying what sounded like "walk" I was a little confused about what he wanted so I asked him to show me. He took me to his room and showed me the buggy, turns out that he wanted to go for a walk....at 8pm! Anyway, he got very demanding, saying "Walk, Walk, Walk" louder and louder, finally he started stamping his feet and then crying. It was still light out and the more I thought about it the more I felt like going for a walk, so I caved in and we went for a walk, just up the road to see the diggers all parked up. I know I shouldn't have given in to him especially because he put up such a performance about it, but I felt better having gone for a walk and it's only a walk...So funny though, this is the first time he has shown any interest in going for a walk and he was just so adamant about it. I try and get out for walks with the buggy regularly but we only go once a week. I just assumed that he went along for the ride but he must enjoy it for him to have asked to go. When he does things like this it makes my heart warm with pride but a little sad in the pit of my stomach cause he is growing so fast - he will always be my baby to me!

Wonder what surprises are in store for me tomorrow, till then
J
